Product details

Legendary bluesman Sunnyland Slim introduced his own powerful brand of Mississippi Delta-blues piano, and helped build post-World War II Chicago into a major center for the performance and recording of classic acoustic and and electrified blues music. This quintessential CD includes his first two albums: the masterpiece, Slim's Shout (released on Prestige/Bluesville in 1961, and long unavailable on CD), plus his equally splendid debut LP, Chicago Blues Session (originally issued by 77 Records in 1960).

Both complete albums have been remastered and packaged together in their entirety on this special collector's album. These fabolous recordings from the building blocks of Sunnyland Slim's musical legacy. This is a truly indispensable set for any fan of piano blues
